The Piroska_Project was born from the desire to reinterpret the folklore fashion of my native Hungary. Selected motifs of Matyó embroidery, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, were reworked and modernized.
The project name "Piroska" is a stereotypical name that stands for Hungary like no other, but which many also associate with clichés. I would like to focus on the country's rich history of craftsmanship and thus dispel clichés. This "Project" symbolizes the process of modernization, design development, but also teamwork with all production partners.
